Tax Supervisor, Private Client Services - New York

Marcum LLP is seeking a Supervisor to join our growing and well established national firm in New York. This position requires an experienced Tax Private Client Services professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, trust, estate and gift tax returns
• Supervise and develop associates.
• Interact closely with clients year round to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services in a timely manner.
• Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, meeting deadlines, and proactively sharing tax saving strategies.
• Prepare budgets and schedule engagements accordingly.
• Train and mentor lighter level associates.
• Be involved in business development (networking, proposals, etc.).

Qualifications

• The candidate must have at least 3 parts of the CPA exam passed or preferably, be a CPA
• Bachelors or Masters in Accounting and CPA eligible
• 4+ years solid tax experience in the HNW area.
• 3+ years experience in prep of Individual/1040s with some experience preferred in Partnership, Trust, S-Corps, and gift tax returns
• 1-2 years review experience in all the above
• Proficient with CCH Axcess, Microsoft office suite, BNA tax planner, and SurePrep
• Experience with GoFileRoom and Engagement preferred
• Good communication skills (both verbal and writing skills) and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, managers and partners
• Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Good judgement and the ability to work independently
• Strong tax research skills and self review

Compensation Range
Salary: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00
