Tax Preparer

We are a public accounting firm looking for a Tax preparer who is comfortable working with Quickbooks and familiar with the Lacerte tax return software.

Candiate will also be asked to help with basic office daily duties

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct phone calls when the primary administrator is not available to answer calls.
• Prepare Federal and state individual, partnership, LLC, S & C corporation tax returns.
• Work with our primary accountant to adjust books in preparation for the actual tax return entry
• Analyze client prepared books and adjust them as necessary .
• Provide accounting and tax support to CPA on various projects. Make calls to clients to request additional information and verify our understanding of the facts.

Skills

• 3 years or more experience of tax preparation.
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Working knowledge of office equipment, printers and fax machines
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, and Outlook in particular)
• Experience with the Lacerte tax software and Quickbooks.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• High School degree or higher

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
