We are seeking an experienced US tax professional to join our team and play a key role in GE Vernova’s tax organization.  The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing Tax Planning and risk mitigation opportunities across the various GE Vernova businesses including monitoring and planning for changes in global tax policies. The Tax Planning Senior Manager will provide tax support to the GE Vernova Treasury function on matters such as intercompany financing and hedging.  The Tax Planning Senior Manager will also provide tax support to the Business Development organization supporting acquisitions and divestitures. 

Job Description: 

  • Identify and implement US Tax planning and risk mitigation opportunities across the GE Vernova businesses. 

  • Model forecasts and tax projections. 

  • Monitor global tax policy changes and identify related risks and opportunities. 

  • Work with legal and accounting teams to develop transaction structures that achieve both tax and business objectives. 

  • Provide support to the GE Vernova Treasury function on matters such as intercompany financing, cash management policy and procedures, hedging and related transfer pricing issues. 

  • Provide support to the GE Vernova Business Development organization on acquisitions and divestitures: 

  • Develop and implement Tax Planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position on acquisitions and divestitures, including the use of tax-efficient structures and financing arrangements. 

  • Lead the tax due diligence process for acquisitions and divestitures, identifying potential tax risks and opportunities and developing solutions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. 

  • Review and provide comments on related legal documents. 

  • Manage relationships with external consultants and other stakeholders as necessary. 

  • Provide guidance and support to other members of the tax team, as well as other departments within the organization. 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. 

  • Collaborate across GE Vernova Tax Operations Team to provide training and share best practices. 

  • Drive and be involved in global projects, interact with cross-functional teams within the organization. 

  • Supervise and train newcomers and analysts. 

  • Additional tax related tasks as needed. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in tax, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm. 

  • Strong knowledge of international tax laws and regulations. 

  • Experience in US Tax planning and strategy development. 

  • Written and verbal fluency in English. Additional language skills are a plus.

  • Experience in managing US Tax planning, treasury and M&A processes. 

  • Ability to analyze complex tax issues and develop effective solutions. 

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and coach junior staff members. 

  • Professional certification, such as CPA, CMA, or CITP. 

  • Strong understanding of international tax laws and regulations. 

  • Ability to provide tax advice to senior management and business leaders. 

  • Experience in managing relationships with tax authorities and external advisors. 

  • Understanding of the US Tax implications of business decisions and transactions. 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

If contracted in the US:
The salary range for this position is 172 900 - 288 100 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
