Position Overview:
The Supply Chain organization at Hunter Douglas is a very exciting group to be a part of right now. The team is working on many mission critical projects to ensure the global growth and continued success of our business. This role will play an integral role in that continued success. The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning Process will act as an internal consultant partnering with many areas of the business, developing and implementing best practices, ensuring process governance, and system enablement and automation.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of Supply Chain process owners to design, develop and align end-to-end global Supply Chain processes to meet customer and business needs.
- Collaborate with enterprise Supply Chain leaders to identify Supply Chain pain points and develop solutions to drive effectiveness in the Hunter Douglas Supply Chain.
- Act as a thought leader and business partner by proactively providing process improvement to improve business results
- Serve as the training and development leaders of the Supply Chain systems and processes to ensure our Supply Chain organization has a high level of performance and productivity
- Create a culture that emphasizes accountability and transparency among the Supply Chain team by identifying key audits of the process and the development of mechanisms to hold people accountable
- Work with Supply Chain leadership team and IT on our strategic planning system roadmaps; drive a forward-looking technology plan looking at the next generation of planning software solutions
- Build a continuous improvement culture and process where the team under this function proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in the systems and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Assists in the implementation and use of SAP which aids in purchasing, planning, scheduling, and inventory control of materials for business units
- Drive results in a matrix environment
Who you are
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain management, engineering, or related experience equivalent
- Minimum 8 years experience in Supply Chain Analytics or Optimization
- Excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills
- Strong Supply Chain experience and understanding of Supply Chain operating models
- Process development and control experience
- Ability to work with large amounts of data and fluent in data manipulation and other analytical techniques, including display and visualization.
- Understanding of SAP ERP System data structures, Supply Chain data, and related transactional processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once; experience leading projects with cross-functional team members in a high-complexity environment.
- Collaborative style, willing to work in cross-functional teams and experience influencing outside of reporting structures.
- Ability to travel as needed to understand Supply Chain processes (including manufacturing) through first-hand observation.
