Tax and Customs Summer Trainee

Join us as Summer Trainee! We are looking for a summer intern to join our Tax & Customs team based in Houston.

Your Responsibilities:

In your role, you will

• Assist the local Tax and Customs team in daily Tax and Customs management of Neste
• Be introduced to a basic understanding of indirect tax relating to the Neste US business activities and the oil and gas industry.
• Achieve basic understanding of customs, duty application, preferential treatment and FTA qualification to assist in customs reviews

• Student in Accounting, Finance, International Trade, Law or other relevant program
• Energetic and conscientious mindset with can-do attitude
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and Google tools - most systems used can be learned on-the-job
• Good communication skills verbally and written

We also value:

• Work experience in data governance or analysis
• Familiarity with credit risk (e.g. ratings) or compliance risk topics
• Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
