We are not a typical accounting group. We are a specialty division within the firm of SingerLewak, dedicated to providing financial services in the areas of business operations management, tax, bankruptcy, trust and probate accounting, valuation, and litigation support services. We have offices in Los Angeles, Denver, and Houston.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking highly motivated team players with 2+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with an emphasis on general accounting and tax preparation. As a valued team member, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners on challenging assignments in a professional and collegial office environment.
About the Job:
The perfect candidate will enjoy learning about different industries, competitive markets, and specialized practice areas, such as trust, bankruptcy, business operations management, and litigation support. A foundational knowledge of tax preparation and general accounting are required for success. Essential functions of this position include:
- Preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, LLC, trust, and bankruptcy tax returns.
- Preparation of client monthly accounting and financial statements.
- Analysis of financial data and preparation of reports in conjunction with forensic accounting, bankruptcy, and litigation support work.
- Operations management analysis and consulting.
- BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- 2+ years’ tax and accounting experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
- CPA license or on track to obtain CPA license.
- Attention to detail with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic with ability to comprehend complex accounting issues, juggle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
