Role: Tax Accountant
On-Site: Falls Church, Virginia
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000
Recruiting Heroes is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Tax Accountant to join our client's team in Falls Church, Virginia. Our client is an exciting Accounting Firm with a fantastic client base of international and domestic clients including small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals.
This position will play a critical role in an organization that is searching to increase efficiency through innovation. Areas of responsibility include preparation of business and individual tax returns, interviewing tax clients, and researching tax matters related totax payers and transactions. This position is ideal for you if you are truly passionate about taxation and do not shy away from demanding situations and tight deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare personal and business tax returns of all entity types
Perform Year-End Financial Statement adjustments
Research tax matters related totax payers and transactions
Assist in planning and calculation of apportionment of income by state
Possess strong knowledge U.S. GAAP, and U.S. Tax Code
Correspond with federal, state, and local tax authorities
Provide individulas and businesses with tax advice to help guide financial decisions
Develop, maintain, and manage relationaships with valued clients and prospects
Use CCH Axecc and CCH Tax Research
Assist with other tax work, as directed
Requirements and Qualifications:
3+ years experience with personal and business tax return preparation
Thorough understanding of state and federal taxes
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professionalism, integrity, and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
Education
CPA certification (active or in process)
