Brown Edwards is in search of a talented, detail-oriented Seasonal Tax Preparers for the upcoming 2023 tax season. This position offers flexible hours and a competitive hourly rate.
What Your Day Looks Like:
Prepare assigned individual federal and state income tax returns- Assist with contacting clients to obtain information as appropriate
- Research treatment of certain tax transactions as necessary
- Escalate complex tax issues to a manager or partner for counsel when necessary
What You Need for This Role:
At least three years of relevant experience within a CPA firm or tax preparation company- Experience with CCH based (Prosystem or Axcess) preparation software is a plus
- Experience with other types of tax returns is also a plus but not required
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize responsibilities in a high volume environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to work in a paperless environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive taxpayer information
- Training is provided
- Work hours determined by Brown Edwards and candidate's work availability
