MJA Vineyards is a Hawaiian-themed winery and Tasting Room, and we're looking for someone with previous Tasting Room, wine bar, tap room, or related management experience. Strengths in sales, leadership, communication, and organization are all necessary for the position, and, the more you know about wine, the better! If that sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.
This is a full-time management position working with the owner and 5 Tasting Room associates, as well as maintaining communication with the office manager and events manager. Exact weekday availability is flexible, but must be available most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as all holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas). We require previous management experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage scheduling and staffing of Tasting Room.
- Work with the owner on promotional and sales strategy.
- Train and communicate with Tasting Room associates to assure all customers receive high-quality and informed service.
- Assist the office manager in hiring Tasting Room associates as needed.
- Greet all visitors to the winery and pour wines for tasting.
- Create a memorable experience for the guests
- Describe wines and winery history; answer visitors’ questions about wines.
- Provide general tourist information.
- Handle routine sales transactions which include operating cash register and accounting of daily sales.
- Direct the display and stocking of retail items and wines.
- Direct and assure maintaining cleanliness of facilities.
- Assist with hospitality in special events as needed.
- Represent winery at outside functions as needed.
- Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of winery and its wines.
- Some winery specific work-labeling, capping and bottling (optional and additional hours).
- Promoting special events, sales and fluctuating promotions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Management experience required.
- Hospitality experience required.
- Wine related experience preferred.
- Sales experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of wines and wine production preferred.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Proficient on the computer (familiar with POS systems, Microsoft Office).
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be at least 21 years of age
-Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly
-Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
-Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
-Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
