Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be part of a team that is responsible for spearheading our college recruiting efforts, supporting company recruiting initiatives, and enhancing our Talent Acquisition strategies. You will collaborate closely with the recruiting team and hiring managers to identify, engage, and attract top talent.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Partnering with hiring managers to develop and execute sourcing opportunities, share best practices, and innovate new recruiting approaches and programs
- Collaborating with hiring managers and HR administrators to enhance the networking and branding of our organization
- Conducting screening of eligible candidates at varying levels within the organization from entry-level to senior leadership positions
- Identifying, cultivating, and nurturing strong relationships with students, faculty, and administrators across multiple colleges and universities
- Identifying exceptional talent from targeted Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs)
- Assisting in the development of programs to attract talent from underserved communities
- Coordinating all on-campus activities, including registering and attending career fairs, information sessions, and other recruiting-related events, to facilitate the candidate selection and interviewing process and deploy talent to various company locations
- Researching and understanding unique engagement opportunities at universities and optimizing recruiting strategies, including campus activities and clubs
- Leveraging your recruiting knowledge and competitive market intelligence to drive effective strategies and influence key internal stakeholders
- Utilizing data to assess outcomes and inform ongoing recruitment strategies
- Assisting with the offer presentation and onboarding process
- Actively participating in internship program planning and execution
- Assist in additional Human Resource projects as assigned
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience preferred in Corporate Recruiting, College/University Recruiting, or Career Placement Advising
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems; knowledge of Workday is preferred
- Working knowledge of compliance related to EEO, FLSA classification, and affirmative action is required
- Ability to travel frequently by air and overnight stay within the US, with heightened travel requirements during peak recruiting seasons (January-March; September - November)
- Position is located at the corporate office in Grand Rapids, Michigan
