Talent Acquisition Specialist 

 

Are you passionate about finding and hiring the best talent in a highly specialized industry? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!  We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and help us grow our workforce!  As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for finding, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for various positions in our company.

 

You will work closely with hiring managers to understand job requirements, develop a recruitment plan and use various sourcing methods, including referrals, job boards, social media, and career events, to build a strong talent pipeline. You will act as a trusted talent adviser to hiring managers and candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively, generates, attracts, and acquires top talent by creating targeted external recruitment strategies using job boards, social media, resume databases, recruitment marketing campaigns (CRM) as well as employee referrals, internal database, career fairs, and hiring events.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify hiring needs and position requirements and candidate selection criteria.
  • Assist hiring leaders in developing appropriate job descriptions to attract a well-defined candidate pool.
  • Understand the external factors that impact the supply of top talent, position tenure, salary level structure, candidate supply, and candidate requirements for various job categories.
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and iCIMS ATS) and offline methods (e.g. referrals, networking, career fairs, events).
  • Screen resumes and applications based on job requirements.
  • Conduct phone screens to evaluate candidate's skills and company and team fit.
  • Present screened and recommended candidates to hiring manager.
  • Schedule and facilitate in-person and virtual interviews with hiring managers and hiring teams.
  • Manage hiring manager and interview team feedback.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of candidates and hiring activities.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires by partnering with onboarding team and keeping candidate informed through start date.
  • Track recruitment metrics.
  • Partner and build collaborative relationships with hiring leaders for assigned sectors and functional areas to understand hiring needs and strategic objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (preferred)
  • Non-degree holders must possess a High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, human resources certificate, or related area.
  • 2-3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in the utility industry, civil engineering, construction management, or a recruiting firm or related professional services firm.
  • Knowledge of various sourcing techniques and tools, such as Boolean search, social media, resume databases, etc.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR Software; experience with iCIMS (new version) highly preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Adept at Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Salary Range: $60,000 to $65,000 per year.

Additional Requirements:

  • Occasional car travel from Cordoba office locations (i.e., mainly in the SoCal region)
  • Hybrid role with 2-3 days in office.
