We are currently looking for a Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. This recruiter will be responsible for overseeing the vacancies within our Manhattan and Staten Island Residential Programs for adults with developmental disabilities. This is a hybrid work opportunity, that requires 2 days in-office at our Manhattan location.

SUMMARY
The Recruiter is responsible for hiring by partnering with department managers to define hiring criteria and facilitate all phases of the recruitment process. The Recruiter will be responsible for interviewing, testing, and referring applicants for clerical, technical, administrative and management positions throughout the Agency. Considerable skill is required in interviewing techniques, knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the Agency, and basic understanding of the Agency’s organizational structure. This position will also require extensive knowledge of all human resources policies and procedures as well as federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Recruiter will include but are not limited to the following:
- Determine position responsibilities, as well as the experience and abilities of ideal candidates.
- Screen and route resumes, schedule interviews, conduct interviews, recommend qualified candidates to department managers for further interviews, conduct reference checks, present offers, secure acceptances, and communicate rejections when necessary.
- Design sourcing strategies and identify the most efficient and cost-effective recruiting methods.
- Work with and maintain strong relationships with placement agencies.
- Manage on going campus recruiting with local undergraduate institutions.
- Schedule and lead interview debriefs with hiring managers and interviewers.
- Manage requisition activity and candidate status within the internal tracking spreadsheet.
- Update and maintain data in the internal tracking spreadsheet.
- Makes public presentations at job fairs, schools, and organizations regarding the Agency and its employment opportunities.
- Ensures recruitment process is compliant with state and federal and employment laws Works with HR team to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least (2) years related experience.
