Job description

This position will create and drive the vision, strategy and execution of companywide Talent Acquisition initiatives that enable our success in attracting, selecting, and onboarding top-tier candidates to meet our business growth initiatives. This position works with our recruiting team to lead the implementation of innovative candidate sourcing strategies and works closely with the hiring managers to elevate their recruiting and interviewing skills. $85,000-$115,000 annually DOE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Talent Sourcing Strategy:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent sourcing strategies. Leads and manages the Talent Acquisition process, including optimization of the Recruiting and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Creates and leads recruitment initiatives to identify and procure talent for placement in exempt and non-exempt positions across our organization.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of our industry, products, and services to ensure we develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attain the talent needed to meet business growth goals. Identifies and leverages effective recruiting channels based on the position, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Seeks out new and creative ideas and utilizes recruiting best practices, latest techniques, and industry trends to proactively source and attract active and passive candidates by building talent networks and pipelines. This may include social and professional networking sites, resume mining, career fairs, university and trade school relationships, website postings, special recruiting events, in-depth market research and other community outreach efforts as needed.
  • Plays a key ongoing role within networking groups to ensure Hercules is represented and relationships fostered to assist with the recruiting process and to ensure Hercules remains forward thinking and competitive. Develops relationships with relevant organizations to attract and hire for entry level positions. Engages in community outreach efforts to promote Hercules as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to manage the full life cycle recruiting process including job specification, detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert by providing best practices and guiding hiring managers in the interview, selection, and screening process. Serves as a link between hiring managers, candidates, and new employees in the recruiting process and promotes ways for all to provide an exceptionally positive, high-touch experience for all candidates throughout the entire Talent Acquisition and Hiring process.
  • Recruits with the ability to match cultural and environmental fit, in addition to technical skills and experience.

Recruitment Training:

  • Creates training programs that enhance the recruiting, interviewing, and candidate selection capabilities of hiring managers. This may include workshops, webinars, and one on one coaching sessions to upskill team members on effective candidate assessment, interview techniques and hiring etiquette.
  • Provides recruitment counsel and guidance regarding marketplace employment trends, compensation, skills/attributes, target companies, employment offers, assessment methods and post-offer employment verifications.
  • Provides guidance on how to evaluate candidates for cultural fit, technical skills, and potential.

Process Improvement:

  • Implement technologies and tools that optimize candidate tracking, communication, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR team members to streamline workflows and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine the end-to-end recruitment process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Strategic Partnerships and Industry Knowledge:

  • Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to understand their talent needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies, universities, and industry associations, to expand the talent pool.
  • Candidate Evaluation:*
  • Lead the assessment of candidate resumes, applications, and interviews to ensure alignment with job requirements and organizational values.
  • Implement standardized evaluation criteria and interview frameworks to maintain consistency in candidate assessment.
  • Employee Owned Brand Promotion:*
  • Develop and create compelling job recruitment materials that resonate with potential candidates by highlighting our Employee-Owned organization's unique culture, values, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Develops methods to use during the recruiting process to highlight the Hercules Employee-Owned culture, as well as the compensation/benefits package and career advancement opportunities.

Recruitment Metrics:

  • Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track recruitment metrics, identify trends, and propose data-driven improvements.
  • Generate regular reports for management that showcase key recruitment metrics, progress, and areas for optimization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience. Human Resource certification a plus.
  • 6 plus years’ experience in Corporate Talent Acquisition with a high concentration in Recruiting, hiring, Experience recruiting all levels of professionals is required.
  • Previous success in building a forward-thinking, high-impact Talent Acquisition function with a focus on leadership and strategy.
  • Experience with optimizing the use of Recruiting and Applicant Tracking Systems and Candidate Relationship Management using Recruiting and Onboarding software.
  • Strong understanding of Recruiting and HR functions and interdependencies with other functions. Knowledgeable on trends, tools, and technologies used to recruit and source all levels of talent along with the experience to implement technologies, optimize their use, and train others.
  • The incumbent will be a driven leader who brings a strong functional expertise, a working knowledge of cutting-edge trends in recruitment, and hiring and utilizes analytics in combination with strong business acumen to create and implement effective and engagement strategies.
  • The aptitude to quickly learn new technologies and leverage opportunities for process improvements. Advanced computer experience and analytical skill in the implementation and optimal usage of Recruiting/Onboarding software is required.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze factors and variables, solve problems, improve processes, and identify creative solutions. Ability to implement a program or process from concept to completion.
  • Ability and experience in managing multiple projects, priorities, and time sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent project management and change management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, employee relations and communications skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental results and solve complex problems.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong technical aptitude, capable of building complex resource plans. Ability to accurately maintain and interpret complex data models/forecasts and translate to actionable strategies.
  • Brand marketing knowledge, channel management, and experience maintaining process compliance across multiple functions in a complex organization.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with leveraging the use of Recruiting/Onboarding/HRMS software is also required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, or procedures to define the problem or objective, identify relevant concerns or factors and formulate logical and objective conclusions, while recognizing and evaluating alternatives and their implications.
