The Systems Security Analyst implements the appropriate technical safeguards to ensure the delivery of critical infrastructure services. To achieve this goal, the Systems Security Analyst develops and tests new rules, policies, and settings, while identifying any applicable exceptions. This team member will also perform ongoing, detailed examination of that data. Additionally, the Systems Security Analyst will continuously scrutinize the environment for vulnerabilities, weaknesses, flaws, and deviations from policy and standard. Finally, this team member will develop and deliver metrics that can be used to measure security capability performance.

- Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in related or similar field, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Microsoft Technology Associate - Security Fundamentals, CompTIA Healthcare IT Technician, SSCP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent required.
- Additional Skills (required):
- Advanced knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities (e.g., buffer overflow, mobile code, cross-site scripting, Procedural Language/Structured Query Language [PL/SQL] and injections, race conditions, covert channel, replay, return-oriented attacks, malicious code).
- Advanced knowledge of system logging formats (e.g.; syslog).
- Advanced knowledge of information assurance (IA) principles and organizational requirements to protect confidentiality, integrity, availability, authenticity, and non-repudiation of information and data.
- Advanced skill in tuning security sensors.
- Advanced knowledge of cyber defense policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Advanced interpersonal communication skill, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

- Advanced skill with MS Office suite of tools and SharePoint.
