Senior Systems Engineer (Part-Time)

• Provide multi-disciplinary support to government system acquisition program management offices
• Serve as an advisor to government personnel
• Lead working groups and develop engineering solutions to major acquisition program issues
• Support multiple projects for a variety of DoD acquisition program offices
• Work with senior government personnel on a regular basis
• Frequently be called on to provide briefings and lead large meetings

• An active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering
• 5-10 years broad technical and managerial experience with DoD, including Systems Engineering analysis in support of major acquisition programs
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to travel 10-20%

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Prior experience as a Chief Engineer for USAF Acquisition programs
• Prior Airworthiness experience
• Integrate models to modern requirements management, architecture, and Systems Engineering software
• Experience working with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts to include: operations views (OV), systems views (SV), capability views (CV), data views (DV) using systems modeling language (SysML)
• Experience capturing stakeholder needs in models
• Develop and extend system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and Systems Engineering documents
• Prior Experience working with other DoD Stakeholders
• Experience executing alternative/rapid acquisition authorities
• Broad experience with development, coordination and communication of system engineering strategies and recommendations with mid- and senior-level Service and OSD personnel
