Position Description:
The Aftertreatment Systems Team within Vehicle Propulsion Systems Engineering is seeking a mechanical or electrical engineer design, procure, commission, and maintain powertrain rigs and protype emissions systems to support robust and cost-effective systems to meet future internal combustion engine emissions standards. Detailed Job Descriptions • Work with exhaust metalwork, catalyst internals, and emissions calibration engineers to define aftertreatment designs to meet future emissions standards. • Interface with protype exhaust fabricators to develop experimental designs. • Procure and component necessary to assemble prototype aftertreatment and powertrain system. • Oversee assembly and commissioning of powertrain and aftertreatment system aligned with test schedule. • Develop and maintain documentation of test rig components. • Onsite support of powertrain and aftertreatment rigs while on test.
Skills Required:
• Practical understanding of gasoline powertrain and emissions control systems • Good PC computer skillset including sharepoint, MS Excel and MSWord skills. • Good collaboration skillset.
Skills Preferred:
• Teamcenter access and experience. • Hands on prototype parts fabrication experience. • Dynamometer test experience.
Experience Required:
• Practical understanding of gasoline powertrain and emissions control systems • Good PC computer skillset including sharepoint, MS Excel and MSWord skills. • Good collaboration skillset.
Education Required:
• BSME or BSEE or equivalent work experience
