Position Description

The System Analyst - Data Analytics will work as a primary interface between business units and the Data Analytics team. The Data Analytics team is focused on utilizing technology to improve processes, help employees be more effective, and improve the use of data across the organization to drive business insights. The System Analyst will analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and recommend and implement technical solutions by working with Sr Systems Analysts, System Analysts and/or outside contractors as directed by the Director of Data.

Responsibilities

• Management and support of production systems, patching, upgrades, outages, and deployments of automation tools, including UiPath, master data management tools, and Data Analytics tools. 
• Providing first level UiPath support, researching application/data issues, identifying deficiencies and/or data integrity issues and proposing remediation solutions for all key applications utilized by the Data Analytics team. 
• Facilitating meetings with business users, gather detailed requirements in a high quality, clear and concise documentation as an Agile Story, generate process workflow diagrams and provide updates to management and key stakeholders. 
• Execute using implementation controls and prepare SOX documentation where applicable. 
• Training - Providing end user training on supported systems. Developing training materials under the guidance of senior team members and management. 
• Data & Reports - Creating reports and data extracts as needed by business. Identifying opportunities for optimization of data integration processes between all supported software.
• Project Management - Generating project plans as needed on small to medium sized projects. Conducting meetings, tracking status and milestones, and providing management with summarized and actionable updates. 
• Implementing solutions, performing analysis and other duties as assigned relating to any system the Data Analytics team supports or as directed by supervisor. 
• Communicating status to management proactively. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• 3+ years of progressive experience as a Developer, Programmer, Technical Analyst or Backend Analyst. 
• High level expertise in automation tools, including UiPath Automation Suite, SharePoint forms and workflows, Microsoft Power      Platform, and other similar tools. 
• Experience with Spotfire, PowerBI.
• Experience with SSRS a plus. 
• In addition to being systems focused, this is also a user facing role, must be personable, a strong communicator, and be able to manage user requests and issues in a calm, friendly and effective manner.
• Ownership of systems and persistence in resolving issues is crucial. 
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
• Strong work ethic and personal integrity.
• Ability to provide after-hours support and be on call as needed from time to time. 
• Ability to lead projects with limited supervision. 
• Technical knowledge and ability to easily converse with developers.
• Prior experience working with Oil and Gas companies is a plus (including knowledge of Oil & Gas software such as Enertia, Quorum, Waterfield, Bolo, WellView, Aries, ProCount, etc.).
