CRI Advantage is looking for a System Administrator and DBA. We are looking for an individual skilled in multiple areas of IT to assist our client's Operations Center with tasks, in support of ongoing projects and development efforts. The chosen candidate will be required to work a standard 8:00 am to 5:00 pm shift as well as support additional activities both after hours and on weekends, as necessary to achieve project deadlines.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for
- Assisting system administrators with applying patches to and upgrading middleware components of the DWSS environment including but not limited to WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ, FileNet, and DB2.
- Assisting with FileNet suite management, cleanup, and FileNet security policy as it applies to scanning of sensitive documents.
- Support vendor staff as they continue to work on projects including configuration of WebSphere family of products, requests for log reviews, assistance with troubleshooting, and service and/or server restarts.
EXPERIENCE
- Contractor must have demonstrated experience and depth in the following areas:
- 3+ years of experience with IBM Websphere Application Server installation, maintenance, and support
- 3+ years of experience with IBM DB2 database installation, maintenance, and support
- 3+ years of experience with IBM FileNet maintenance and support
- 3+ years IBM Datacap maintenance and support including but not limited to Task Master, Rule Runner, and associated IIS components.
- 3+ years of experience with command line shells bash and ksh, and scripting.
- System Documentation: The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting DWSS system and database administrators with creating and maintaining system documentation for active projects, systems, databases, and development efforts already in progress.
- System Administration: The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting DWSS System Administrators with various tasks including but not limited to installing middleware, and applying fix packs. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for assisting with monitoring application servers, web servers, file servers, content repositories, and various middleware.
- Database Administration: The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting DWSS DBAs with various tasks including but not limited to creating, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing existing databases.
- Performance Tuning: The chosen candidate will be responsible for, in whole or in part, ensuring that systems and databases are performing optimally. Duties may include monitoring system and database performance using agency-provided tools, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve performance.
