Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for maintaining computers and server equipment
- Requires on-call hours to ensure maximum uptime of managed systems
- Acts as an escalation point for technical support issues/help desk
- Executes medium to large-sized IT projects, including company-wide software implementations/upgrades, office moves, and new offices
- Serves as primary point of contact for certain IT vendors
- Maintain and track system securities and tools as directed by the System Administrator
- Have a good understanding how changes from one system may affect another system or workflow
- Follows, reviews, and enforces UD IT Policies and Procedures
- Answers incoming calls in a timely and efficient manner; addresses technical support questions appropriately and courteously
- Answers emails and voicemails, responding in a timely and professional manner
- Meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards as set by the System Administrator
- Abides by and promotes HIPAA compliance; maintains strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
- Utilizes security tools to investigate, evaluate, and respond to threats
- Part of the Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) and some interaction with SOC
Participates in staff meetings as directed by Director of IT - Interpret and act on security threats
- All other duties and projects as assigned
High school diploma or GED required, technology certificates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; ITIL Foundation Certified; 2-3 years IT experience required, experience in IT related to healthcare, including HIPAA regulations and HL7/FHIR interfaces is preferred. Comfortable with using: Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Server 2012/2016/2019/2022), TCP/IP, SQL, PowerShell, Citrix/Terminal Services, Active Directory/Entra ID, Azure Systems (Exchange Online, OneDrive/SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Office 365, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps), Microsoft Defender stack (Defender for EndPoint, Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office, Exchange Online Protection). Additional experience with SalesforceMC, Robotic Process Automations (UiPath, Droidal), AI (LLM training), other Azure Resources (Virtual Machine, Storage Account, Azure Arc, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Monitor, Key Vault, Azure Migrate), VMWare ESX, XML/JSON/HTML, Certificate Management, Multiple Forest Domains, DNS Management, SSO/SAML/OAuth, Conditional Access, DLP, and other security tools are preferred
System Engineer must be able to:
- Autodidact; able to research, understand, and apply new solutions

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal remote and office environment; light lifting required; early morning, late evening, and weekend hours will be required on occasion; multi-state and city travel as business needs require.
