Job Description:

 Seeking a highly skilled and passionate System Administrator with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service. You will directly engage with a diverse range of clients to comprehend their IT needs and assist them in resolving technical challenges. Embark on stimulating projects that will enhance your knowledge of cloud computing, identity management, virtualization, networking, storage, and data protection. You will only have to come to the office 3 days a year.

Mandatory requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience working as a System Administrator.
• Knowledge in Backup / Storage and recovery in data protection using tools like Cohesity, Rubrik, Commvault, Netbackup, Avamar or similar.
  
• High level of English as you will be working in this language.
• Use of virtualization tools such as VMware vSphere.

Desirable requirements

• Experience working with clouds such as Azure, AWS and cloud tools such as EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, and EKS.
• Experience working with Dockers, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Experience using automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Packer.
• Experience working with identity management tools such as Okta.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft sophisticated data protection architectures (backup and recovery) for large-scale deployments.
• Deploy comprehensive data protection solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Expertly execute backup and recovery operations for a diverse range of workloads, including vast NAS systems, virtualized environments, and cloud resources.
• Thorough troubleshooting and optimization of data protection processes to ensure seamless data recovery.
• Design, architect, and optimize large-scale virtualized environments in on-premises and cloud settings.
• Design, architect, and optimize high-performance NAS systems for on-premises and cloud deployment.
• Fulfill general architect responsibilities, including gathering system requirements, analyzing performance, designing solutions, and determining optimal configurations.
• Efficiently build and manage infrastructure using code-based automation.
• Containerize applications and processes to enhance scalability and flexibility.
• Implement access controls based on the principle of least privilege, conducting regular audits, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Clearly communicate upgrade and rollback plans, and execute upgrades seamlessly.
• Continuously monitor system performance, identify potential issues, troubleshoot effectively, and rectify problems promptly.
• Maintain an up-to-date internal wiki with comprehensive technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Establish strong communication channels with clients, actively listen to their needs, and cultivate trust through transparent interactions.
