Job Description

• Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Red Hat Linux servers and related technologies.
• Implement security measures to safeguard Linux infrastructure.
• Apply STIG guidelines to maintain compliance with security requirements.
• Configure and manage IPA (Red Hat Identity Management) systems for authentication, authorization, and auditing.
• Participate in the design, deployment, and management of new Linux systems.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate Linux systems with other technologies.
• Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for Linux systems and processes.
• Provide technical support for Linux-related issues.
• Work with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi.
• Meet the 8570 requirements for cybersecurity professionals.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equitable experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Linux administration, preferably in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of security principles, network security protocols, and security compliance frameworks.
• Experience with applying STIG guidelines and performing security hardening.
• Familiarity with Identity, Policy, and Audit (IPA) systems, such as Red Hat Identity Management.
• Strong scripting skills in YAML, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM, and specifically VM ESXi.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
