This role is vital to providing a reliable infrastructure for a hybrid on-prem and cloud infrastructure environment. This position will perform technical tasks to maintain the overall performance and availability of the Organization’s environment and applications; is accountable for annual server maintenance; and implements infrastructure systems and components in support of business and IT applications such as hardware, servers, software (such as operating systems, packaged software, configuration files, security certificates, database system etc.), and appliances. Remote & Hybrid opportunities.
Mon- Fri
- Perform Windows server configuration maintenance, patching, O/S hardening, automating system operations, application design, optimization and debugging
- Manage, monitor, optimize Windows Remote Desktop Services Farm
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
- Monitor, diagnose and resolve server operating system problems
- Manage Enterprise BackUps disk/tape.
- Assist with IT infrastructure lifecycle management, planning capacity procurement, and vendor management for both on premise and cloud environments
- Develop, design, test, and document improvement solutions and processes (such as scripting, automation, and workflow) aimed to improve system's efficiency, reliability, scalability, and cost effectiveness
- Mitigate residual security vulnerabilities
- Perform privileged account administration, password, and access management
- Perform technical research on Information Technology topics, as requested, and produce recommendations
- Maintaining intranet IT Wiki documentation
- 3+ Years’ experience with Windows administration, VMWARE, and backup technologies
- 1+ Years’ experience with Azure O365 Suite
- Experience with Microsoft Group Policies (GPO) and Active Directory management, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQLServer, and software deployment software
- Knowledge of networking and security technologies including DHCP, DNS, AD, GPO, VPNs, Firewalls, security software
- Ability to solve problems quickly, experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for process automation
- Configuring enterprise monitoring technologies (Nagios, PRTG, checkMK)
- Ability to lift 25 – 50lbs of equipment
- Experience with Linux administrator, and AWS SysOp
- Experience with Amazon Web Service SysOps: VPC, EC2, ECS, RDS, CloudWatch
The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
