Job Description
SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES
1. Maintain the day-to-day functionality and integrity of workstation and server hardware and the associated peripherals.
2. Manage Enterprise software packages to ensure consistent, reliable service delivery.
3. Communicates with management, users, and team members to resolve issues.
4. Act as department point of contact for technology related projects, including vendor-coordinated installs and upgrades.
5. Mentor, coach, and develop junior IT staff.
6. Configure, deploy, and maintain network devices, including, but not limited to, Windows servers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and wireless networks.
7. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions or anomalies.
8. Ensure backup procedures and capabilities meet or exceed recovery objectives.
9. Manage Active Directory and network infrastructure and architecture, including, but not limited to Group Policies, DNS, and DHCP.
10. Configure, deploy, and maintain VMware infrastructure.
11. Support phone system; including configuring, troubleshooting, deploying, and maintaining PBX, switches, and telephones.
12. Analyze and monitor hardware, software, and procedures to maintain performance and identify improvement opportunities.
13. Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure performance and stability of hardware and systems.
14. Create/update/maintain system and network documentation.
15. Maintain enterprise level patching and updating of workstations, servers, and systems.
16. Serve as point of escalation for incidents for junior team members.
17. Provide occasional assistance to IT Technicians, as needed.
18. Record all requests and incidents in help desk ticketing software.
19. Assist planning and implementing expansion of systems as demand grows.
20. Work respectfully and effectively as part of the Enterprise team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director.
Requirements:PREREQUISITES
General: Must be age 21 or older. Must qualify for a “Key” Tribal Gaming License. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible with work hours, including occasional after-hours emergencies and rotating on-call schedule. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and superior customer service skills required.
Education: High school graduate or GED required. Suitable IT related degree (associate degree or higher) required, with one or more industry standard certification such as MCSA, VCP, CCNA, etc preferred. Additional experience may be considered in place of the education requirements.
Experience: Three years of practical experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, and networking (switches/firewalls/VPNs). Previous experience with Extreme Networks, MS SQL, MS Exchange, and/or Aristocrat Oasis preferred.
Physical: Visual acuity; hand and finger dexterity; repetitive motions; sitting for long periods working on a keyboard; reaching; bending and lifting 40 pounds.
