Job Summary:
Under supervision of Network and Technical Support Manager, the Systems Administrator is responsible for effective
provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related
infrastructure. The Systems Administrator participates in technical research and development to enable continuing
innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems,
and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and interns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Systems Administration, Engineering, and Provisioning: 1) Develop SA-related solutions for various projects and
operational needs. 2) Installs new and/rebuilds existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings,
directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. 3) Develops and maintains
installation and configuration procedures. 4) Contributes to and maintains system standards. 5) Identifies, researches
and recommends different approaches, including automated approaches, for system administration tasks to leverage
resources and provide economies of scale.
Operations and Support: 1) Performs daily system monitoring which includes but is not limited to verifying the
integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application
logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. 2) Performs regular security monitoring to identify
any possible intrusions. 3) Repairs and recovers from hardware or software failures, coordinate and communicate
impacted systems.
Maintenance: 1) Applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities,
configuring and/or adding new services as necessary. 2) Maintains operational, configuration, or other procedures. 3)
Performs periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning. 4) Performs ongoing performance tuning,
hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required, configuring CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required. 5)
Maintains server room's environmental and monitoring equipment.
Professional Development: 1) Attends weekly individual and group supervision, staff meetings and actively works
toward developing professional skills. 2) Participates in Agency committees as assigned.
Compliance: 1) Maintains excellent professional boundaries and adheres to all professional ethical standards
including abuse reporting, maintenance of participant confidentiality and FFYC. 2) Adheres to all agency and program
policies including Boundary Code of Ethics, Core Competencies, Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook and state and
federal regulations.

Required
1. Two years of general computer installation, maintenance and repair experience.
2. Knowledge of Windows 2008 R2 Server Administration.
3. Basic knowledge of Email systems (Exchange or O365 Cloud).
4. Basic knowledge of layer-2 flat networks.
5. Organized and able to prioritize and work under pressure.
