MAINTENANCE LABORER II – SWITCHYARD PARK

SEASONAL PART TIME

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Performs day to day maintenance of grounds, event setup for Pavilion and Park including watering, mowing, trash removal, restroom cleaning and other duties as assigned by the Working Foreman.

EDUCATION:

High School education or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:

Experience with grounds maintenance and experience with maintenance equipment (I.e. tractors and mowers) preferred but not required. Painting experience is preferred, but not necessary. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be a self-starter and the desire to learn new skills. He or she will also have the ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Applicant must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Indiana Driver’s License to operate city

vehicle.

HOURS:

Flexible schedule. Some weekends. Work week will average 25-35 hours.

Two shifts per day: 8am-3pm, 3pm-9pm

SALARY RANGE:

$15.95 - $16.15 per hour
