Pioneer Home Care, Inc. is currently looking for a bilingual (English-Spanish) Switchboard Operator/Receptionist to provide outstanding customer service and satisfaction. The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist will ensure that the company’s high volume telephone calls are handled in an efficient and courteous manner. This position requires a highly motivated, energetic and effective individual who has a passion for customer service. The position is integral to the smooth operation of the company and its ability to successfully manage a growing referral base.
Responsibilities
The essential duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
· Answer all incoming telephone calls - effectively ascertain caller's needs, transfer them to the appropriate extension and take accurate messages as necessary. All calls must be managed in a prompt, polite and professional manner.
· Greet clients, employees and other visitors to the building.
· Ensure that adequate telephone coverage is maintained at all times - cross train other colleagues as required.
· Learn and utilize technology (phone systems, email programs, word processing programs, spreadsheets and home care software) made available by the company to increase efficiency, communication and performance of duties.
· Perform general clerical tasks such as accepting deliveries, directing email queries, completing forms, maintaining files, light keyboard typing and stuffing envelopes.
· Hold in strictest confidence all client information.
Skills and Attributes
· The candidate MUST be bilingual (English-Spanish).
· Minimum one year experience on heavy traffic telephone/switchboard.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· The individual must be able to multi-task – answering a high volume of calls in a friendly and efficient manner.
· The candidate must possess a clear and professional speaking voice, excellent customer service and communication skills.
· The role would suit a sharp, bright individual who is a quick learner.
· Must be dependable, energetic and courteous with a positive attitude.
· Must report for work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate a professional appearance.
· Good computer skills – knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be an advantage.
Reporting
The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist will meet regularly with their Manager who will assign tasks and require regular progress updates. The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist will be evaluated on an on-going basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
