SalaryA PER-DIEM Switchboard Operator position is currently available in our assisted living facility.
Position Overview:
Serve as a liaison with families, visitors, other volunteers as well as the resident and staff helping to provide a friendly, warm and most welcomed atmosphere.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- To act as a receptionist, directing vendors, prospective employees, visitors, etc. to the proper locations, staff or administrative secretary.
- Emergency response for the entire campus, (call bells, Pers, link-to-life, fire system)
- When admissions are busy, take messages or find someone for a tour, hand out brochures.
- Monitoring resident arrival/departure, notify nursing staff.
- Signing contractors in and out, giving them visitor badges.
- Responsible for having keys signed out and returned at end of shift.
- Census for the Courtyards, Required by the State.
- Keep record of managers on duty.
- Keep books up to date with new residents moving in/out for Courtyards, Manor, Appleridge, Knoll and Orchard Homes.
- To report safety hazards to the administrator.
- To participate in fire drills following campus fire procedures and contacting the proper authorities.
Basic Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer and transfer calls for entire campus.
- Make all visitors and guests feel welcomed.
- Receive faxes for the Courtyards & distribute.
- Fold activity sheets for mail delivery.
- Keep lobby / reception area / comm. center area neat, clean, and orderly.
- To assist the administrative secretary when able and needed;
- Copying, Stapling, Cutting out, Filing, Sell meal tickets.
Education Required:
- Must have high school diploma.
Experience Preferred:
- 1-3 years experience operating a multi-line phone system.
