The Global Corporate Services (GCS) team at Blackstone services all global offices and lines of businesses across the firm. The GCS team is primarily delineated by its Corporate Real Estate & Strategy (CRES), and Administrative Services departments which deliver services associated with Corporate Real Estate, Workplace Services, Facilities, Design & Construction, Office Services, Conference Center Management, Catering, Dining & Pantry Services. We are seeking a full-time employee to join the team in our New York office.
Position Objective:
The Senior Vice President, Head ofCorporate Real Estate & Strategyfor the Americas, will possess the experience and knowledge in the fields of Corporate ESG strategy development and implementation, Corporate Real Estate transactions, workplace planning, and corporate interior design & construction to manage multiple global assignments and projects as well as handle the fast-paced rhythm of the organization and role.
Job Description:
Blackstone is seeking an experienced commercial office design & construction professional that will report to the Global Head of CRES and lead a group of CRES specialists to advance regional Corporate Real Estate & workplace strategies and capital projects activities within the Americas region (AMER) while simultaneously working with other global GCS team members to lead execution of the GCS ESG strategy. The range of responsibilities this role will encompass include:
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) for Global Corporate Services

  • Refine current GCS ESG strategy and processes, while ensuring department strategy alignment with our corporate goals and initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal teams, external advisors, and consultants on global capital project to ensure project alignment with department & corporate ESG strategies.
  • Actively participate in internal and external corporate peer groups to find ways to promote strategy enhancements and GCS-wide participation in new initiatives.
  • Refine and advance GCS ESG reporting and governance from strategy, execution, automation, and reporting.

AMER Corporate Real Estate Services
  • Lead CRES services delivery teams and maintain delivery model alignment with other key regional GCS leaders to ensure global CRES deliverables meet organizational excellence standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal strategy, 3rd party vendor risk, procurement, and regulatory requirements for all aspects of regional CRES performance.
  • Support and contribute to global Program Management Office (PMO) initiative to ensure transparent and constant communications between GCS teams, technology, finance and 3rd party vendors, contractors, and suppliers to manage project deliverables, timelines, and risks.

Workplace Services
  • Lead Workplace Services team which oversees all aspects of the Corporate Real Estate & space management throughout the AMER portfolio.
  • Oversee maintenance of lease database to ensure accuracy of information existing and newly entered into the application, as well as collaboration with corporate finance on all lease transactions.
  • Ensure current IWMS software application maintains maximum usability and ensure effectiveness of platform including integration with other related firm applications.
  • Monitor headcount projections in partnership with business COO/CAOs and Human Resources to ensure space needs forecasting is current.
  • Develop and articulate detailed client requirements and establish clear and verifiable expectations of all regional capital project initiatives.

Facilities Management
  • Lead internal and 3rd party Facilities Management (FM) services team which oversees all aspects of the Real Estate & space management throughout the AMER portfolio.
  • Push FM team to elevate performance, ensure preventive maintenance best practices are employed, improve service request response times, and promote a "first discovery" position where FM sees issues prior to client observation.
  • Ensure 3rd party service providers met optimum performance standards and SLAs.
  • Working closely Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Team, execute on general FM service vendor contract/MSA/SOW negotiation, administration, and implementation.

Design & Construction
  • Work closely with Workplace Planning Service team to transition from programming to execution stage on capital project initiatives.
  • Alongside the internal Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Team, execute on general vendor, contractor and consultant contract/MSA/SOW negotiation, administration, and implementation.
  • Lead team to refine current best-practices around design practices, project management services, vendor selection and vendor management.
  • Ensure leadership and transparent communications throughout capital project delivery to ensure schedule, financial forecast, and ESG targets.
  • Oversee the design, management, and construction of global projects within regions to ensure schedule, scope, quality, and costs are achieved within approved parameters.
  • Effectively organize, plan, and execute capital project initiatives utilizing candidate's strong and extensive design and construction knowledge.
  • Drive a functional, creative, and cost-effective design and implementation process.
  • Ensure projects comply with corporate and local standards and procedures related to design guidelines.
  • Promote team's seamless integration and collaboration with internal delivery teams, including technology, audio-visual, hospitality services and facilities teams.

Role Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of comprehensive experience in Corporate Real Estate and ESG leadership role.
  • Proven success leading capital project design and transformational change in a global company.
  • Demonstrated leadership and attention to detail in a dynamic environment; ability to be adaptable and flex leadership style according to evolving circumstances.
  • Strong problem-solving & design skills combined with advanced program and project management skills.
  • Intimate knowledge of principles, processes, and standards of contemporary ESG programs, commercial interiors construction, construction procurement, customary building codes, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e., architecture, engineering, construction management, operations management, etc.) is required.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with multi-disciplined senior executives while delivering range of commercial office capital projects of all sizes from interior renovations.
  • Impeccable communications skills with a strong, knowledgeable, and decisive presence.
  • Familiarity with operating in collegial atmosphere where all opinions are valued and worthy of consideration.

Expected annual base salary range:
$175,000 - $225,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
