The applicant responsibilities include the following:
- Ensure all systems and procedures are in place for safe, productive, and high-quality work.
- Install and maintain control points for all project construction including but not limited to: surface facilities and services, underground excavations, services, and infrastructure.
- Provide updated as-built and planning drawings as required.
- Liaise with project supervision and operations, as well as subcontractors and client, to coordinate day to day survey requirements.
- Track all necessary engineering and construction data, and deliver reports on regular intervals, as assigned.
- Provide support to project management team as required.
- Provide information to the construction crews on a regular basis.
- Receive daily survey requirements from supervisor.
- Supervision of testing to ensure Quality of Product i.e. Ground support pull-tests, concrete sampling, rail installation, bolt counts, etc.
- Ensure that accurate drawings and mine planning, as requested by the Lead Engineer, are produced and submitted in a timely fashion.
- Work rotation of 10 days, 10 nights followed by 10 days off with 12 hour shifts.
Education and Experience:
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Deswik is strongly preferred.
- Underground mining and/or surveying experience is strongly preferred.
- 40-hour underground MSHA training strongly preferred but not required.
- Experience with Leica surveying equipment preferred but not required.
