Prairie Engineers, P.C. is seeking Surveyors In Training to join our team.Do you love spending time outdoors, but also want challenges and the opportunity to advance your career? Prairie Engineers is a growing company, looking to add multiple Surveyors In Training to serve in the field and office and to assist with surveying and mapping projects at locations nationwide. This is not an easy position; we work long days in sometimes harsh field conditions, but we also take pride in completing larger and more complex projects than our peers. This full-time position is available to be filled in our Hannibal MO, Keokuk IA, or Washington IL offices with paid travel expenses and a per diem allowance for meals, generous benefits and a competitive salary based on qualifications. Minimum QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in engineering, land surveying, or related fieldLicensure: Current licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor In Training or ability to obtain within 6 monthsSoftware: Proficient in Power GEOPAK, Open Roads, and/or AutoDesk Civil3DCommunication: Good verbal and written skillsIdeals: Professional, positive attitude with a strong work ethicTeamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamResponsive: Communicate openly, proactively, and promptlySafety: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record Travel: Willingness to travel within the United States to meet project requirementsService Oriented: Maintain focus on project delivery and client service with attention to detail and meeting deadlinesPreferred QualificationsSoftware: Familiarity with ArcGISExperience: 1-4 years of experience as a field survey party chief or Surveyor-In-TrainingJob FunctionsPerform field surveys including hydrographic, topographic, control, and boundary surveysConduct boundary research and prepare plats, plans, and legal boundary descriptionsPerform and check calculations including level circuit reduction, least squared and compass rule computations, and volume and area calculationsUtilize technology including operating cutting-edge survey equipment and a wide variety of high-tech sensors and methodsCheck out the Careers page at prairieengineers.com to find out why our employees chose Prairie and the generous benefit offerings available.We are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of diversity.
