DMW is seeking an experienced Survey Technician to assist and provide limited guidance to field surveyors with respect to their duties by reviewing and processing field collected data and using it to calculate information for use in performing survey-related computations and computer-aided drafting. The ideal candidate can perform computer-assisted survey research, computations, and drafting for land development or construction related projects for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional properties for public and private clients.
Responsibilities
•Download and process field data files;
•Perform deed research, prepare deed mosaics and perform traverse adjustments utilizing industry-acceptable methods;
•Perform subdivision road right-of-way and lot computations;
•Prepare subdivision and easement plats for private and public clients;
•Perform other surveying tasks as needed.
Qualifications
•Requires high school diploma and strong math skills including Geometry and Trigonometry;
•Current understanding of surveying fundamentals and techniques;
•CST Certification and/or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 3 years of prior experience in Land Surveying is preferred;
•Ability to read site plans;
•Ability to self-manage survey tasks;
•Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record;
