Survey Project Manager

Summit Design and Engineering Services is looking for an experienced Survey Project Manager to join our team and provide highly detailed maps and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare proposals and support business development efforts
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Manage survey projects throughout their life cycle
• Perform land records research and compile GIS data needed for survey projects
• Process survey data and perform quality control checks
• Develop and document survey procedures (field and office)
• Prepare maps, charts, plats, and other types of survey drawings
• Plan and supervise project activities (field and office)
• Train and mentor junior personnel

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in land surveying and geomatics
• NC Professional Land Surveying license preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year
• Broad knowledge of land surveying practices
• Experience with field and office work for NCDOT projects
• Ability to perform GNSS, leveling, and total station surveys
• Proficient with AutoDesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with good time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Valid Driver's license with a good driving record and ability to drive

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or related discipline
• 3-D Laser Scanning experience (data capture and processing)
• Drone (UAV) survey experience
• Experience with GIS projects and use of GIS software
