Surgical Patient Care Specialist (Cma/Cna/Pct/Lpn)

Keep it Tight Surgery Support Clinic in Queens, NY is looking for three Surgical Patient Care Specialist (CMA/CNA/PCT/LPN) to join our team. We are located in RichmondHills, Queens. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.

Job Type: Full-time

Shift:12 hours, 4 days a week with the possibility of overtime

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a pre and/or post-surgical unit preferred

Certification: Must be certified to work in the state of New York (NYS)

Software Knowledge: Proficient in EHR/EMR software

Responsibilities and Duties:

As a Surgical Patient Care Specialist at Keep it Tight Surgery Support Clinic, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional Patient Care in both pre and post-surgical settings. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and comfort of our patients.

Clinical Duties:

1. Patient Monitoring: Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition in both pre and post-surgical phases.

2. Assistance- Post Care Procedures: Assist with post surgical procedures, wound care, pain management and interventions as needed.

3. Patient Education: Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding pre and post-operative care, medications, and any necessary lifestyle modifications.

4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR/EMR system.

5. Meal Preparation: Prepare prepped meals for patients based on dietary restrictions and guidelines, ensuring nutritional needs are met.(Cook on deck but assistance is needed)

Qualifications:

1. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a pre and/or post-surgical unit preferred.

2. Certification: Must be certified as a CMA, CNA, PCT, or LPN in the state of New York.

3. Independence: Ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

4. Software Proficiency: Knowledge and experience with EHR/EMR software for accurate and timely documentation.

5. Compassion: Demonstrated genuine care and compassion for patients' well-being.

6. Flexibility: Willingness to work a 12-hour shift for 4 days a week with the potential for overtime.

Supervision and Collaboration:

While you will be overseen by a Registered Nurse (RN), the role requires the ability to work independently. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive Patient Care, and your dedication to patient well-being is crucial.
