SalaryThe scheduler is responsible for scheduling, cancelling, and rescheduling surgeries for a specific patient population, by collecting all necessary information to schedule and register the patient and obtain insurance authorization. The scheduler will communicate with patients and/or appropriate representatives regarding procedures, problems and/or concerns.
Responsibilities:
a. Responsible for scheduling surgeries for WHS patient population.
b. Responsible for ensuring proper authorization for surgery and any required diagnostic testing or equipment needed for procedure is obtained, schedule at appropriate facility, and communicate with patient regarding the details of procedures.
c. The scheduler works with case management and billing to provide documentation and assist with appeals to the insurance company.
Shift: Monday- Friday, Daylight. No weekends or holidays!

Experience
Preferred- Strong knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Medical Assistant Program completion preferred
- 1 year(s): Previous physician office experience
- 1 year(s): Experience with billing and insurance preferred
Education
Required- High School/GED or better
- Associates or better
