SalaryBusy Private GI practice located in Upper St. Clair Surgery/Medical Scheduler.
The full time position will handle a heavy call volume and directly schedule semi-surgical procedures and office appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling upper and lower endoscopy procedures and ambulatory procedures
- Schedule office appointments
- Answering telephone calls and triage according to practice policy
- Complete all pre-admission/pre-certification requirements
- Collect detailed patient demographic data.
- Complete accurate patient intake when scheduling procedure; obtain current clinical data, including accurate pre-op diagnosis and pertinent medical records.
- Schedule patient appointments from our on line intake system.
- Reschedule appointments
Qualification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of medical scheduling or surgery scheduling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Medical Assistant training a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment
- Must be a team player
