Surgery scheduler for a fast paced, friendly orthopaedic clinic.
- Schedule surgeries and procedures for patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate with medical staff, surgeons, and patients to schedule appointments and surgeries
- Obtain necessary medical records and documentation for surgical procedures
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorization for surgeries
- Communicate with patients regarding surgery instructions, pre-operative preparations, and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to surgery scheduling
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
