This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Qualifications: Who May Apply: US Citizens
This is a term position not to exceed 13 months. Term positions may be extended up to a maximum of 6 years, and MAY NOT be converted to permanent.
Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period. Employees serving a trial period can be removed with limited appeal rights.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing product inventory on a daily basis using electronic databases; 2) Identifying causes of inventory discrepancies by performing data inquiries; 3) Ordering supplies and materials for packaging and shipping functions; 4) Scheduling and conducting physical inventory counts; 5) Ensuring that materials requiring special handling and protective packaging comply with established standards; and 6) Operating forklifts and motor vehicles to transport inventory. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06).
