Supply Planner

Driven by a passion for the outdoors, Signature Products Group (SPG) designs and develops licensed merchandise for top outdoor brands. We are seeking a Supply Plannerto join our team.

Supply Planners are responsible for scheduling production and developing project tools to support the organization and the overall customer supply plan. Supply Planners work closely with factories, the internal sales team, and logistics colleagues, as well as raw materials suppliers to ensure plans are aligned with supply and demand.

The Supply Planner's purpose is to increase efficiency, improve customer service, decrease waste and lower costs. Supply Planners contribute to the bottom line and the overall company sustainability, while ensuring the customers’ needs are met.

• Effectively manage inventory to provide high levels of customer service while maximizing inventory turnover
• Manage the product life cycle – ensuring new items are properly stocked and old items are deleted and closed out of inventory
• Perform all supply planning for assigned product and issue purchase orders to suppliers
• Manage overseas production - closely working with brokers and factories
• Participate in the development and evaluation of ‘what-if’ simulations to resolve supply/demand imbalances
• Work with the Demand Planning Team to determine gaps in the forecast and fulfillment needs
• Build strong business relationships with customers, sales partners, internal sales members, and product development staff
• Drive continuous improvement of the planning process, including planning tools and methods
• Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the operations and sales teams, assisting in managing change and balance supply/demand, to achieve the optimal balance of customer responsiveness and supply stability
• Assist in the resolution of issues surrounding order promising, deviations to planned inventory levels, establishment and utilization of safety stock, and customer delivery difficulties

Qualifications and Competencies

• BS/BA Degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Engineering or comparable work experience
• Experience in a CPG company
• Project Management Experience
• APICS or other supply chain certifications a plus
• 2+ years in Demand Planning or supply chain experience a plus
• Database and SQL knowledge a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel with experience using an ERP or MRP system
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
