Job Title: Supply Chain Project Specialist
Location(s): Milpitas, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
About this position:
A Supply Chain Project Specialist is a professional that possesses advanced SCM knowledge responsible for strategically managing various aspects of a company's Supply Chain particularly for OEM/ODM business, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services from manufacturers to end customers. This role will be working closely with HQ SCM Teams in Asia and US local CPM/Sales Teams. The specific duties and responsibilities of a Supply Chain Project Specialist generally include:
Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimize stockouts, and prevent overstock situations. This involves executing contract/supply agreement, ordering and replenishing stock, and implementing inventory control measures.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the movement of goods, both incoming and outgoing. This includes overseeing transportation, shipping, and warehousing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand for products. Use historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to develop models/tools for accurate demand forecasts.
  • Project Management: Self-starter and team player, Analytical, leadership, strong communication, stakeholder management and time management skills.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the Supply Chain and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes. This may involve implementing new technologies or optimizing existing systems.
  • Risk Management: Assess potential risks within the Supply Chain and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. This includes addressing issues such as supplier disruptions, transportation delays, and other unforeseen challenges.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to gather insights into the Supply Chain performance. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to improve overall efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in regulations that may impact the Supply Chain and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments within the organization, including procurement, manufacturing, quality, RMA, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment and coordination across different functions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Supply Chain management. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and improvement.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s (B.A./B.S.) degree required in Business. Operations, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of related experience within Supply Chain operations, preferably in the Computer Hardware Industry.
  • Advanced knowledge and deep understanding of Supply Chain operations, procurement, and/or Supply chain related management, preferably with hands-on experience in MSA executions including safety stock, min/max inventory method, rolling forecast based on lead times, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge and deep understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) systems (preferably SAP Material Management [MM] and PP Integration).
  • Familiarity with lean principles and JIT environments.
  • Basic Knowledge and understanding of database concepts.
  • Excellent analytical skills with competency for data analysis tools including Excel pivot table, vlookup.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency, effectively managing and responding to rapidly dynamic environments and tight deadlines.
  • Ability and competency to manage and complete multiple projects with changing circumstances, workload, and priorities with quality results.
  • Ability and competency for self-initiative, motivation, confidence, accuracy, technical/detail orientation, be a team player, and with a “can do” attitude.
  • Proficiency and skill with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with oral presentation skills.
