Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Project Manager will join a dynamic Operations team, reporting to the
Vice President of Operations. The Supply Chain Project Manager must be able to manage
multiple projects at one time in a variety of different areas and level of complexity. The
purpose of this role is to coordinate work cross-functionally to deliver key initiatives. and
provide effective project management for the development and commercialization of new
product/secondary package offerings, cost reduction projects, and other initiatives. The
ideal candidate for this role will have experience in production planning, processing and
packaging, filling, in addition to providing clear, frequent communication regarding project
status to all appropriate departments.
In addition, the role will also work closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Planning, R&D,
and Quality to ensure flawless execution. Responsibilities will also include partnering with
all contract manufacturers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement efforts such as
waste reduction, root cause investigations / corrective actions, and optimizing performance
and cost.
Job Description:
- Managing the Supply Chain Integration of business initiatives including:
- Lead the SC/Ops of all new product commercialization and product improvement projects including: Packaging, ingredient and formula changes, special packs including the management of co-packers/re-packers
- Lead the Identification and implementation of cost management initiatives
- Facilitation and troubleshooting of successful solutions to manufacturing issues
- Managing day-to-day coordination and execution of business priorities including: Supply Chain KPI's, Cost Management Process, Quality initiatives...
- Lead asset allocation review and drive YOY utilization improvement
The Supply Chain Manager must be able to:
- Manage multiple projects at one time in a variety of different areas and level of complexity
- Work independently and proactively address issues
- Analyze initiatives for both Supply Chain and financial feasibility and provide input to enhance the execution of a project
- Develop strategies and implement tactics to support business initiatives
- Proactively identify emerging opportunities, issues, develop and implement an action plan to capture opportunities and resolve issues
- Assist in the management of the Supply Chain implications of ongoing and emerging Channels initiatives
- Strong experience and expertise in planning methodologies, cost management and plant operations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong influence and facilitation skills
- Well developed project planning, project management, and contingency management skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability in decision management, including conflict management, problem solving and prioritizing
Professional Qualifications:
- BS degree is mandatory in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management,
Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Broad Supply Chain experience (5 years), including plant and/or headquarter
positions, is required.
- The position requires a thorough understanding of multiple Supply Chain disciplines
and would include experience in several roles, including production planning,
operations management, purchasing, logistics, quality assurance, or engineering.
- Exceptional project management skills are required.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a firm grasp of supply
chain cost structure and drivers.
- The candidate must have demonstrated leadership and influence skills and function
effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Must be results-oriented with strong execution skills. Requires knowledge of
organizational work processes and how to get tasks accomplished across functional
boundaries.
- Ability to lead/manage multiple projects simultaneously.
