Job Description
Works directly with account managers/buyers to ensure a high-level big picture look of all products set up with min/max stock levels.
Monitors forecasts, sales history, and purchase history to identify changes or to determine their effect and make necessary adjustments.
Defines performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of Supply Chain factors in regard to product, cost and quality.
Analyzes inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
Develops procedures for coordination of functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality.
Negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight companies.
Meets with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or discusses forecasts or changes.
Implements new or improves Supply Chain processes.
Utilizes SDS software for chemical management and OSHA reporting standards.
Manages daily activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
Coordinates and sets up new parts in systems such as (Chempax SDS Pro).
Identifies opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize consumption of new materials, minimizes waste, or to convert wastes to by-products.
Ensures for being the main point of contact for the driver fleet.
Ensures fleet drivers are meeting safety, inspection and maintenance guidelines for their state (i.e. schedules 90 days inspections, helps set up rentals or helps solving problem when there are issues on the road to ensure the problem is fixed so the end customer isn’t affected.)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 2 or more employees in the Purchasing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; (Supply Chain management degree preferred) with three to five years related experience and/or training.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Have knowledge of: Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Mail Software (Outlook), Presentation software (PowerPoint), Word Processing software, Inventory Software, Order Electronic, MRP Software, Accounting software, Database software, Contract Management systems, Manufacturing software, Order Processing systems, and Project Management software.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to hazardous chemicals and is required to follow appropriate safety and PPE required.
Must have the ability to work extended work hours to include nights and weekends
