Job description

This position is located within DHS, FEMA, Resilience, Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration, Policy and Regulation Branch in Washington D.C.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading teams to work across programs and spaces; evaluating and monitoring a grant program; and making recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications:

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:

  • Leading a team through the development and implementation of program efforts, task forces, or inter-agency collaborations and;
  • Developing requirements for legislative proposals, regulation and policy development, and programmatic evaluations and partnerships, and;
  • Using qualitative and quantitative data to monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and provide guidance to team members and recommendations to leadership for program improvement. and;
  • Performing data analytics intended to influence leadership decision making.
