- Interacts with the Quality Control Specialists to assess the impact of the off-specification condition.
- Communicates incident status and impacted customers to QC Manager.
- Provides guidance to stakeholders during mitigation and remediation of product quality, product compliance, and additive related events
- When not clearly defined by established guidelines, recommends incident investigations.
- Oversees the preparation of data and/or detailed report(s) documenting process, product quality deficiencies, and/or origin-related quality issues and action items to resolve or correct the deficiencies or issues.
- Manages the Quality Control Emergency Response process per established guidelines.
- Works with QC Team to review and approve System Integrity Plan and site-specific QC processes and procedures.
- Reviews Quality Control data to evaluate Quality Control processes and procedures and leverage existing technologies.
- Works closely with Analytical Services to manage/review and develop QC programs executed at the Company lab.
- Works closely with Fuels Optimization and Gas Liquids Operations to identify margin opportunities for blending.
- Works closely with the Compliance group to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.

- Works with the Quality Control Specialists to identify opportunities to contribute value to the organization based on the product quality margin.
- Project Management: Negotiates new, connection, and storage contracts, complete project economics, develops quality parameters around new and/or existing commercial projects.
- Supports operations in external and internal fuel related audits and evaluates opportunities for improvement.
- Represents Quality Control at location audits and regulatory inspections.
- Manages procedures to provide compliance documentation for company’s fuel production pathways
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure that Quality Control processes and procedures used in the laboratory align with voluntary consensus body practices such as American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM).
- Develop and maintain procedures to maintain compliance requirements corporate fuel strategies such as volatility transitions.
- Provides guidance to the Quality Control Specialists in the development, review and evaluation of all SIP and site-specific procedures associated with product quality.
- Reviews and approves projects that increase the number of test methods performed.
- Evaluates field-generated data and seeks opportunities to leverage existing technologies.
- Reviews Quality Control data to evaluate Quality Control processes and procedures.
- Spring Volatility Management (Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) Blend Down)
- Ensures that the Quality team collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop blending operations plans to transition from winter gasoline to summer gasoline (RVP blend down).
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to align commercial, operations and Quality Control goals with company's objectives and implements commercial project plans.
