American National is seeking a Supervisor, Computer Operations. In this role you will manage the continuous operation of diverse data center systems, the Computer Operations, and scheduling staff. You will lead the staff in maintaining the computer hardware and associated software and will often be the second responder (after the staff members) for any system problems that occur. To be successful in this role you should know all the operator, production control, scheduling, and tape library functions at an expert level.
What You'll Do
Supervise the personnel, work, job duties and training of computer operators and scheduling staff
Assign Computer Operations and scheduling personnel to workstations/work areas and ensures the resources are properly deployed with the appropriate training on associated systems
Responsible for ensuring that operations and production control scheduling documentation and procedures are accurate and up to date. Approve recommended changes to existing operations, production control scheduling documentation and procedures
Manage staff PTO schedules to maintain proper staffing levels across all areas of responsibility
Conduct employee performance evaluations
Serve as a backup in emergency situations to any of the assigned personnel in Computer Operations and scheduling
Participate in the disaster recovery exercises and functions as an Operations Recovery Team Leader
What You'll Need
Six to Eight years of Computer Operations experience
Ability and willingness to work shift work, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather conditions
Considered an essential employee required to work on-site during abnormal situations
Strong and effective leadership behaviors
Excellent communicator
Ability to effectively delegate with purpose
Proven problem analyzer and problem solver on a variety of computing systems and platforms
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
What Will Set You Apart
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
Computer related certifications
