JOB DESCRIPTION:
- As a member of the Enterprise Production team. The Associate Computer Operation role is responsible for providing technical support for various applications and systems within the company's Mainframe operation environments.
- We work closely with our Enterprise Infrastructure teams and our internal business clients to resolve and advance technical support incidents where necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the company's pplications by providing monitoring, application, and system support for the company's Production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments.
- Provide 24x7 support for event monitoring, incident triage, and critical issues.
- Provide support to all environments on a shift basis, handling any activity for any environment as required.
- Provide access administration for application access to the company's various Production, QA, PSE, DEV and test environments and applications.
- Provide lead management support in maintaining the host operating system on Mainframe, Linux/UNIX, and Windows environments.
- Provide oversight on IPLs, MVS console activity, and HMC activities.
- Provide support and assistance with Autosys jobs/boxes, mainframe scheduling activities and auto operator commands on UNIX/LINUX servers.
- Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures.
- Contribute to projects by executing task deliverables and ensuring permit-to-operate (PTO) guidelines are met.
- Provide support for change management approval, execution for DTCC's data center services.
- Perform level 1 and 2 support for Mainview MQ & CICS products.
- Disaster Recovery experience a plus as participation in disaster recovery tests are required (done on weekends)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of CA1/7/11/CA Scheduler and JCL
- Distributed Autosys Scheduler
- Knowledge of IPLs using HMC
- Mainview MQ & CICS products
- Knowledge of Windows OS and UNIX / LINUX OS a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication / presentation skills
- Working knowledge of IBM z/OS, JES2, MVS
- Experience in working in a mainframe operation environment.
- Working knowledge of VTAM, TSO/ISPF, and Service now
- Alert management using Service Now and Splunk dashboards.
- Strong background in large-scale, multi-sysplex environments
- High level of problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Responsible for all aspects of batch processing, including the timeliness of online availability.
- Support the Major Incident Management teams.
- Support automation by making recommendations for optimizing and streamlining daily functions and daily batch cycles.
- Coordinate weekend activities for testing and installation of all system and application hardware and software changes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Software Product suites (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)
