POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Staten Island Clinic is an outpatient mental health clinic that provides psychiatric services to children 0-18 and adults. The Jewish Board is one of two clinics that services children and adolescents on Staten Island; a community that is limited in behavioral health resources. Services include individual, family, couples and group therapy as well medication management. The population served faces challenges and impaired functioning related to diagnoses such as: PTSD, Bi-Polar Disorder, MDD, Generalized Anxiety, ADHD, Conduct Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
The Supervising Office Manager will oversee and ensure that the program's administrative functions and operational needs are met, including billing and financial operations, facilities and maintenance, data collection and updating databases, human resources matters, supplies and ordering, and supervising clerical support and porter/maintenance staff. The Supervising Office Manager is an integral part of the hiring process for all direct reports.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
  • Provide supervision to clerical support staff and porter and maintenance staff
  • Ensure adequate coverage of clerical support staff and porter/maintenance staff during vacations/absences, breaks, and lunch hours to ensure minimal disruption to program operations
  • Responsible for oversight of client registration, collection of co-pays, fee processing, billing and dispensing of metro cards according to agency policy
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of time sheets for payroll; completion of payroll correction forms
  • Complete intake, discharge and other administrative tasks, using electronic medical records
  • Ensure that program documentation is consistent with commercial insurance, Medicaid, OMH, and JB requirements and guidelines

EDUCATIONAL /TRAINING REQUIRED:
  • Some college education required; BA preferred. Minimum of three years of related work experience, including supervision.
