Superintendent - Electrical Construction

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day oversight of line crew operations, ensures that the quality of work and materials is upheld, and that the budget is followed as planned.

Sturgeon Electric's Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Electrical Construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities.
Essential Functions

• QA/QC Management
• Equipment review and scheduling
• Develop and implement project procedures
• Responsible for overall efficient use of materials and equipment
• Responsible for the training and development of field crews, foremen, and general foremen
• Ensure that on-site personnel comply with project procedures as well as safety program requirements and construction practices
• Document procedural violations, provide appropriate notification, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required
• New hire orientation and training for field personnel
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
• Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience working in the construction of transmission and distribution lines field
• Experience with managing field crews of 25+
• Experience with OSHA 20 CFR transmission and distribution compliance
• Journeyman certification or equivalent
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A good work ethic with strong integrity and values
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and JD Edwards
• CPR, First Aid, OSHA 10 & 20 Hour certified

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary $74,300-$100,000 / year
  • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
