Queens Community House (QCH) provides networks of programs for children, youth, and, older adults throughout the diverse population of Queens. Primary Responsibilities:
- Uphold QCH’s mission to provide individuals and families with the tools to enrich their lives and build healthy, inclusive communities and support QCH values of diversity, respect, and mutual responsibility.
- Understand, adhere, and enforce YES Department program expectations, policies, and protocols as laid out by Program Director/Coordinator.
- Participate in pre-program training, and ongoing professional development and coaching as requested.
- Assist with program enrollment, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate to DYCD regulations.
- Assist with smooth operation of mandatory participant orientations, some facilitation maybe be required.
- Reviewing all collected required documentation for accuracy for SYEP annual audit report.
- Assist in quality control for annual program audit.
- Represent the agency professionally to all stakeholders.
- Other assignments, as requested.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to implement positive youth development frameworks
- Knowledge of various computer programs
- Excellent communication, organizational and verbal skills
- Must be able to clear background screening requirements associated with the program
PREFERRED skills/experience/qualities:
- Some college education
- Minimum of one year of classroom management
- Minimum of two years of in planning and facilitation workshops for youths
