Summer Student Nurse - Extern Program (St. Mary)

Full time12 Hour Day ShiftSt. Mary Medical Center is excited to offer an opportunity to participate in a Summer Student NurseExtern Program. This program is specifically designed to provide a unique educational opportunity to the rising Senior Student Nurse who has a desire to participate in the acute care environment while still in nursing school. Throughout the program the Student Nurse will learn about evidence-based standards that elevate nursing knowledge and skills to help provide optimal patient outcomes.
Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week

Our 10 week summer program includes a 2-hour weekly didactic/simulation/skills class with the majority of the Student Nurse's time spent in partnership with a St. Mary RN, who will serve as a preceptor.

Requirements:

• 3.0 GPA
• 2 Letters of Recommendation from a Clinical Educator/Clinical Manager
• Resume/Letter of Interest
