Summer Student Help

Before heading off to school, come work for the largest producer of metal food packaging in the United States! Silgan Containers-Oconomowoc is seeking 4 Summer Students to help with our production needs this summer. Explore the can manufacturing industry in a fast-paced environment. Openings on 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:00 PM) or 2nd shift (2:00 PM-10:00 PM).

Salary: $20.01/hr with $1/hr shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift hours (2:00 PM-6:00 AM).

Essential Job Functions:

• Various clean-up tasks, product sorting, and filling in for operators when needed
• Perform palletizer operator functions using semi-automatic equipment to stack finished products on pallets
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend directions
• Ability to write, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use of decimals + fractions
• Ability to speak and understand English

Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 30 pounds on a regular basis
